Childhood Lead Prevention Program
CDC Site
The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP) of Western Massachusetts works with families, health care professionals, homeowners, landlords, realtors, and other community stakeholders to prevent lead poisoning in children under the age of six. We cover all of Western Mass and services are free of charge. The program works on 2 fronts:
Education & Training – we provide information, education and trainings about lead poisoning, state laws and testing regulations & resources in the community to address lead issues.
Case Management – Community Health Outreach Workers make home visits to families with children who have elevated lead levels that are referred to us by the Department of Public Health (DPH).
