Preschool Teacher

RESPONSIBILITIES:             

The  teacher will help plan and implement  a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, plan and implement daily activities, manage the daily  routine, cover breaks, nurture children and aid to complete progress reports.

Will adhere to NAEYC guidelines and developmentally appropriate practices.  Must be able to work as a member as part of a nurturing and dependable educational team of the Center.   

QUALIFICATIONS:  

BA Degree preferred.

Must demonstrate dependability, maturity and flexibility.     

Must meet EEC qualifications for toddler teacher.

Must have toddler or family day care experience.

Must be able to work as member of team and get along with other staff in classroom and center.

Must be in good heath, free of contagious diseases, and have up-to date immunizations.

Must be able to lift children who weigh up to 50 lbs.

Must be able to complete lesson plans, parent communication and progress reports for children.

Must be able to communicate clearly to children and parents. 

Position located in Muddy Brook School in Great Barrington.
