Child Care of the Berkshires operates a Family Child Care System – a network of independently licensed family child care providers.

Family child care educators work in their homes The educators’  homes are located in a variety of neighborhoods in North Adams, Cheshire, Lanesboro, Lee and Pittsfield. Family child care sites are licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care for a specific number of children – usually 6 to 8 children. The South Berkshire Early Childhood Center welcomes children and families from the community as well as families affiliated with the Berkshire Hills Regional School District.
