Family Child Care System

Child Care of the Berkshires operates a Family Child Care System – a network of independently licensed family child care providers. Family child care providers work in their homes. The providers’ homes are located in a variety of neighborhoods in North Adams, Adams, Williamstown, Cheshire, and Pittsfield. Family child care sites are licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care for a specific number of children – usually 6 to 8 children.
