Balls, Blocks, Beads, and Books Playtime

Fun interactive event for families with children ages 18 to 36 Months.
Thursday, May 16 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Haskins Center Gym

Families and children are invited to join us to play and learn and find
out about their child’s development at the same time! Children will

visit a variety of play stations featuring building blocks, play dough,
books, beads and a sensory table.Parents will complete an Ages
and Stages Questionnaire for their child’s age group. Ages and Stages
is a simple developmental screening tool that measures a child’s
development at a particular age. FRC staff will then enter the answers
into the on-line tool for Ages and Stages, and will contact the parent
with their child’s results. Families will receive consent form paperwork
ahead of time to complete and bring to the event. For families with
children 18-36 months. Space is limited.

Teaching Personal Safety to your Child

WHERE: Haskins Community Center, North Adams

Teaching Personal Safety to Your Child
Parents will view and discuss the video, “What Do I Say Now?”
by the Committee for Children . The video gives tips and information
on how to protect your child from sexual abuse.

We will present information on how to establish a safe environment, how to talk
about safe touches to children and personal safety rules your child should learn.
Learning how to talk to children about safe touches is a way of preparing and
protecting your child. Other personal safety topics covered will be bike and
gun safety. The information in this workshop is geared towards
families with children 4-6 years old.
On site child care and transportation is available
if needed. Call 664-4821 to register.
