The South Berkshire Early Childhood Center welcomes children and families from the community as well as families affiliated with the Berkshire Hills Regional School District.

We strive to offer children a variety of learning opportunities through planned daily activities, positive social interactions and a nurturing environment.   We are located within the Muddy Brook Elementary School in Great Barrington, in a generous classroom with plenty of natural sunlight.  Our facilities include an age appropriate playground and we are lucky enough to be located within the beautiful Berkshire Hills where the children can explore nature.  There are walking trails, ponds, and apple trees just steps away from our classroom.  We believe in the value of play and build a curriculum around it.  We are striving towards a natural classroom with wooden toys, teaching the children to recycle and reuse, and learning to love and respect the Earth.  The South Berkshire Early Childhood Center has been in operation since 1983.
